You can also test whether these will work by soaking in a bath with some baking soda and splashing some water vaginally.

WHAT IS CYTOLYTIC VAGINOSIS (CV)
CV involves an overgrowth of one dominant strain of lactobacilli. The key word is one strain rather than any diversity of good bacteria. 
CV typically involves a pH level that is too low. This causes burning and sloughing off of vaginal tissues. Baking soda only helps for situations where the pH is too low. 
 
Taking or inserting probiotics can make this condition worse. So be cautious. Stop using if it makes your symptoms flair up.
 
Women with CV will typically present with thrush-like symptoms Eg burning and itching with irritated angry vulva tissues but traditional thrush treatments won’t help or improve symptoms at all.
Many women with CV feel their symptoms improve after their period or unprotected sex. These activities tend to increase the pH. 
 
Baking soda is often used to treat some strains of CV because it helps to increase the pH balance eg Crispatus. 
Baking Soda or Sodium Bicarbonate or Bicarbonate of Soda has a pH of 9 approx. which is mildly alkaline. Being an alkaline substance means that Baking Soda will increase our vaginal pH. 
The amount of baking soda used in these capsules has been carefully calculates to not be enough to burn or over correct the pH. In fact this treatment will either help or do nothing. It will not make symptoms worse for most users, even if you dont have CV. 
However, your experience may differ especially if you have any sensitivities to baking soda. 
 
WARNING- like all treatments please stop use immediately and seek medical help if you feel any discomfort or worsening of symptoms. Some women may experience adverse reactions such as burning or irritation. This may be due to an existing condition or that boric acid is not the best treatment for your situation.
